Exactly 6 months after her previous transplant (from Madonna to Venus), Rin Azuma 東凛 is making another lightning transplant 電擊移籍. This time it is more than just another career movement of a journeying hot MILF. The key point is destination: Dahlia, a studio no one had heard of.

So actually the best spokesman for a new studio is their first contract girl, Run Azuma herself: Dahlia, or “Dahlia by Faleno” is a new studio of the Lady 淑女 category (as in noble class/royal blood type). According to the buzz, it’s launched as an independent company from the get go, not just a new label. A glance at their website reveal two other well known stars Suzume Mino 美乃すずめ and Ayaka Tomoda 友田彩也香 are also co-founding hotties. It’s a script that sounds a bit familiar right? Let’s be clear, it’s not the case that two idols are parting ways with Faleno. Rather, Faleno is spinning out a new studio and head-hunted another big name from “the wild” to form a hot MILF trio with two of their own.

So we have two 30+ idols and the third, being slight younger, has a very tall physique (for JAV idol). Curvy but not outrageous. All three are suited and experience in playing mature roles such as married women, widow, teacher, female doctor, detective, aunt and, yes, mother.

Like Attackers アタッカーズ (S&M) spun off IdeaPocket (soft S&M) in 2002, Madonna (MILF) spun off Fitch (chunky MILF) in 2007, Moodzy (hardcore) spun off Tameike Gorō 溜池ゴロー (mature women) in 2006, Faleno is spinning out a new studio with a focussed and clear brand image. As mentioned before, when U-Next launched Faleno, the ambition is much much more than just to create sustainable new studio, it is the first battle to carve a chunk of market out of industry conglomerate Hokuto Corporation. But one single studio against a group that’s many many times larger is pretty hopeless. So now the next stage is began, with two studios Faleno and Dahlia, U-Next is technically a group. Quantitatively still tiny compared to Hokuto, but at least they are in the same category now.

So while a lot of JAV fandom have not been converted to Faleno's camp (myself included), the objective truth is since last time we pay attention, Faleno has gotten a solid beachhead, and splitting off a new combat unit as Dahlia, so if you like the mature ladies genre, give them a look on March 28.

So it looks like the fourth musketeer could be Tina Nanami 七海ティナ, another Faleno contract girl. A long time veteran of SOD, she also fit the “light mature lady” billing.
